Former NICU Baby Delivers Premature Twins at Same Hospital

Nearly 40 years after being born premature and receiving critical care in the neonatal intensive care unit at UC San Diego Health, a mom delivers premature twins of her own at the same hospital system, requiring the same high-level of care.

From a lifetime of health challenges to a life-threatening childbirth, a multi-disciplinary team, including neurosurgery, obstetrics, neuro critical care and neonatal intensive care at UC San Diego Health came together to save the life of a mom and her babies.
