I used to work for one.

It's because the store is there for regular people with an efficient stocking system to reduce waste.

What you can do is go a week before and place an order with one of the managers.

Unless its the specials section, which they have no control over as they're ordered months in advance.

The issue they're trying to prevent usually is scalpers, Kevin the carrot being the biggest example.

First day people clear the shelf and resell at a 300% mark-up.

I worked for Aldi and I know that product availability is a huge deal for them. If you come in and clear the shelf of all cans of tuna in oil then there is none for other customers and unlike Tesco or the bigger stores Aldi don't have 12 varieties of tuna in oil. Most of the time they have just 1 or 2. So that's why they don't want one person clearing out the shelves. And what's more if you do this then it's likely 1-2 days before they can order and receive delivery of restock. You are best to go in and ask them to order for you.

Reselling Aldi products is so fucking scummy . Taking items off the shelves, adding no value and ripping off everyday people .

Car boot sale reselling I think is all good because it’s a win win . People get rid of items and then people can search your good finds .

They’d be bothered cause maybe they can’t restock that item and other customers will come in angry that they can’t get it lol. That’s the only reason I can think of.

Think they’d only be bothered if they got complaints about no stock from multiple
Customers.
