My great-grandfather served. He wasn't on the front lines; he was one of the medics who evaluated soldiers before they shipped out. I was named after him.

Carter's degree was in engineering, and he served on the earliest nuclear submarines. In many ways as hazardous as combat?

Carter didn’t serve during WW2. He graduated from Naval Academy in 1946 and served as a submarine officer/nuclear reactor specialist.

Carter was in the Naval Academy during World War II and graduated in 1946; while he was "in" a service academy, he would not have been called to active service during the war unless he was drafted.

Elizabeth II was in the Auxiliary Territorial Service, not the regular Army.

Your videos are REALLY good but this short is lacking in context and could be perceived as misleading.
