I agree! The extended release is the dumbest idea I ever heard of. I think they even have an injectable version that lasts 30 days (vivitrol)? If that's true, that is insane. Those poor people must be under an endorphin blockade for weeks straight with no release... experiencing 0 pleasure till their brains adjust... which probably takes months. This is likely why all the suicides on LDN are in drug recovery programs. They come off opiates with already suppressed endorphin function, some idiot dr says we got this medicine to stop the high from heroin, then inject them with long acting naltrexone and a small % kill themselves. This never happens in fibro patients or hashimotos it's always the recovering opiate addicts (that I've read in research). Doctors who don't understand chemistry are dangerous!

My doctor would only prescribe contrave which has 8mg of naltrexone.
Will that work ?

I started taking 1mg of LDN a couple months ago for Dysautonomia/Baroreceptor Failure. I have these conditions after removal of bilateral carotid body tumors. I’ve had very positive results for my secondary symptoms (muscle pains, fatigue). The impact on my symptoms were almost overnight. Would I benefit from increasing the dose? Because of the impact at 1mg, I’ve been advised to stay there.
