What Does a New Life Look Like? | 12Stone Church

Over the past few weeks, we have explored hymns that have influenced past generations. Today, we focused on a hymn that is shaping our generation and those to come, proclaiming the promise of new life in Jesus. It's easy to say yes to Jesus, yet many of us remain trapped in our old ways. Our sins imprison us, but Jesus has paid the ultimate price for our freedom, allowing us to find new life in Him. Key reflections from today include: recognizing that following Jesus transforms us into new creations, understanding that sin is a destructive force, not a trivial amusement, and realizing that our goal should be to draw closer to Jesus, not just to avoid sin. This week, spend time in prayer, confessing the worldly things that hold you back. Identify your personal "jail cell" and lay it at the feet of Jesus. #12stonechurch

Wow! This sermon popped up as an ad and I listened to the entire video because it was so good!
I decree and declare that today I walk through the open door and receive my freedom. I run from the jail cell and pray I never return!! 🙏🏾

This service was extremely powerful! Life changing! Pastor Steve, God had His arms wrapped around you delivering this message. Your vulnerability, your truth, and owning it is remarkable and inspiring. I love that you, PK, and Jason have no fear and are open to sharing your lives and experiences. I ran to the altar so fast when you called us up, I didn't realize I did until I was standing up there. Shout out to the Buford Campus!! The best campus!

My story is so long and so complicated. Readers digest version… My best friend in this world, the man who takes care of me, hand and foot every day, (I am 100% wheelchair bound with multiple sclerosis) is gay. I pray for him every day that God would open his heart and drop the scales from his eyes. My only other option would be to be in a nursing home because there’s nobody else to take care of me. I am in this jail cell with nowhere to go.
