What Is The Point In The VEXOR II?? || EVE Echoes

After my recent video on the Stabber II, I've had a lot of requests to cover the other T10 Cruiser IIs to talk about their uses. Today, we look at the Vexor II, supplied by Bradric. What is the point in this ship?

The reason you should fly a Vexor II is because you can solo a T6-T8 nihilus deadspsace in 25-40 minutes with a ranged DPS setup. I haven't played EVE in about 6 months, but I used to make 150mil/hr scanning down ndeds, jumping in, and sniping from 80 km. I never lost the hull. And with that kind of range (kicking out ~1800 dps hot with three damage mods, a good nanocore, factions drones, and good rigs), you can run almost anyone out who jumps in. I once fought off a Nado, Brutix, and Harbi simultaneously in a Vexor II in the middle of a T8 Guristas nded without taking damage. It's a little tough to pilot, but with practice and expert skills it's an unparalleled PVE monster. If you want solo content that's actually difficult and extremely rewarding, fit a Vexor II and see how many ndeds you can clear in a day. (Gila is good too. The only T6-T8 ndeds a Vexor II can't clear are Angel ndeds, because the Cynabals go ~3km/s. But you can run them in a Gila without breaking a sweat, as long as you fit for application and tank and stay within 20km of the in-gate.)

Vexor IIs can be quite strong though I prefer to use a shield tank build. I fly both the Gila and the Vexor II and the Gila just edges it, but then I do have a fancy Hare core for my Gila which pushes its DPS to 1000.

Loved the video all around, great discussion. As a drone pilot, brought back memories of a time before BSs. When I first saw the title though, I wondered what’s the point of cruisers. My apoc can 1 shot them as can my carrier and dread. I REALLY wish we had small ship exclusive content. I still have my vexors in storage. Would love a reason to skill back into cruisers. Unfortunately for both pvp and pve there are just better options.

A bit out of subject of this video, but there's some thoughts that I want to share. Honestly, I think all cov-ops ships that we have in game right now are technically a force recons, which shouldn't have much combat abilities but rather focus on disruption and cynos. They're way to strong right now and I think they should have much less firepower but Instead utilize some e-war bonuses to help allies.

And to not disappoint fans of those ships (i like such type of gameplay myself) here's my little idea. What do think if there'll be ships like stabber cov-ops, vexor cov-ops, etc, which would work like combat recons with a bit weaker cloak bonuses and no cynos, but with much better combat abilities? I think this would be really nice addition to what we have right now and would make much more sense than current cov-ops ships, which works as both combat and force recons right now

If I was to compare the arby vs the vexor I feel they are pretty well matched when it comes to there traits. The vexor while it deals considerable dps, is slow and sluggish while the arby is the other way around, being able to warp faster and if using a tracking disruption mod. Can almost outrun most guns it comes across. But to be fair the arby is MUCH more fragile than it's gallente rival. It just depends on what type of job these two ships use. I know that benzie was comparing the T10 equivalent versions of arby and vexor but this is just how I see it.

I have to say implants have broken the game in a good/bad way by use of implants. They are very very expensive to apply but for example im doing t7 with a can yue on railguns. Gettimg over 500 dps and 900 dps when activated and im only on the 1st set of attributes. Implants make many fits possible when you cant spec. Slap on an implant. Now your laser ship is great dps missile ship.

T10 cruisers can easily kill Battleships. Check out Vetemunes latest video. 2 cruisers take out Apoc striker plus others. I would have no issues approaching a battle ship in that Vexor 2

The Vexor 2 excels with Automatic Defense. The 5 drones gives you 5 charges which makes Automatic Defense reliable at a lower level (i.e. actually affordable for players) and makes fitting sensor dampeners actually make sense. The extra low slot and bonus to DCU is a huge upside to the Vexor. A lot of PvP just comes down to an initial burst of damage and the DCU bonus lets you survive the 18 seconds to exert absolute control over the fight. I’m not a fan of dual armor reppers on a Vexor. I’ve faced a few and just tore them apart…wasted low slots in my opinion. In fact, I’m not a fan of any part of your build. Just looks like you are trying to fly a Vexor like a Gila. It’s not a Gila. Lean into mobility and EWar capabilities of the Vexor and you’ll completely shut down battleships and capitals while still being able to shred any frigates sent at you like any good little drone ship should.

There is never the higher quality diode miners in the market, so I decided to buy the blueprints to build them myself, but the blueprints don’t seem to exists; so I decided maybe I should try to do pve for them, I’m a miner😬, what anomalies should I do to get these high quality miners/blueprints?
