What do you think of the price? I think the flat is a good price but the renovation was more than I expected. Let me know what you think.

I just bought a 3 story dacha for $80, 000. 270 square meters, 3 bathrooms, 7 bedrooms, heated floors, and there's a natural spring nearby. It's also on a huge block of land! I also have fiber optic internet!!! It's out in the middle of nowhere, and the nearest town is about a 20 minute drive away, but this is exactly what I wanted - peace and quiet, and solitude 😉

My parents, after the birth of me and my brother, received an apartment in a new house of 62 square meters for 4 people in 1991 under the USSR in 1991. Yes, it's a little, an economy option, but for free. A young family, my parents were 22 years old and they just started working. I grew up in it.

It's important to know! All these modest Soviet apartments during the USSR were given to people for FREE! And they were provided with all the necessary free infrastructure. That's socialism. The state's concern for an ordinary person.

There’s something about the Soviet Apartments I always like I think the coolest feature I like on them are those enclosed balconies?

Hi Scottish Guy. Could you do a video centered around how you found work in Moscow, and how other westerners can find job opportunities there as well (networking/linkedIn/etc)? As someone who will soon be graduating from university with a background in analytics and finance, I'm sure me and many others would be totally interested in hearing what you'd have to say. Love the content, cheers from Arizona!

Moscow real estate is already highly overpriced. I would consider Saint Petersburg or Ekaterinburg or maybe even Perm as more affordable cities for living.

Very expensive indeed. But I think in Dublin you are looking at 250k Euro and up for a one bedroom flat.

In this area, the average price for an apartment in similar buildings, which are not very old brick buildings, around twenty to thirty years old, ranges from three hundred to four hundred thousand rubles per square meter, or approximately from three to four thousand dollars per square meter. So, if we take this apartment's area, which is fifty-seven square meters, and multiply it by the lowest price in the area, three hundred thousand rubles per square meter, we get about seventeen million rubles. Therefore, the price for this area is quite justified. If you were to take a similar apartment in New York, in a comparable location near Central Park but closer to Harlem, it would be in a similar price range. I think the price per square meter would be around ten thousand dollars. So, a similar apartment would cost approximately starts from 570.000 to 1 million $

I don't think people understand how reasonable living in Russia is...an apartment ofthat size in any major US city is easily 3K a month.
