ST Rear Sway Bar:

StopTech Front and Rear Stainless Steel Brake Hoses:

K&N Short Ram:

The best 3 cheap mods for any daily driver will always be sound deadening, stainless steel brake hoses, and a bigger rear sway bar. For some links above, they are Amazon Associate/Referral links. If you purchase using those links, I will get a small portion of the sale.

All of these mods make daily driving the car more enjoyable and do not affect the ability to drive the car in bad roads (I'm talking about you NYC).

For sound deadening, I recommend Noico 80 mil Butyl and Noico Red 150 mil CCF. This reduced road and wind noise while also improving the stock ELS sound system.

For stainless steel brake hoses, I recommend StopTech hoses. This improved brake pedal feel and response.

For the rear sway bar, I recommend ST Suspension (owned by KW) 19MM rear sway bar. Going from 17 to 19mm, I notice a MASSIVE difference in handling.

Thanks for a great, to the point, video. Noise reduction is of most interest, to me, since we're considering buying a 2014 TSX wagon, which is known to be noisier than the sedan. If we buy it, I'll look into improved suspension bushings, to better control NVH. Braided brake lines aren't that expensive but I'll speculate you'd have seen the exact same improvement from just replacing the brake fluid.

For cosmetic under the hood “mod” i removed the plastic engine cover. Makes the engine bay look way better imo.

Very good & informative video!

I would like to know so far how do you like the Yellow Koni shocks/struts? I need to replace the stock & worn out shocks/struts in my CW2, and I'm evaluating different options, including Koni Yellow & KYB GR2. I've also checked a couple of coilover kits, however I'm not sure if there're any that keeps the stock or almost stock height. I'm willing to lower my CW2 around 0.75" and so far the coilover kits I've seen start the drop at around 1.5", that's why I'm thinking about using the Koni or KTB.

Thanks!!!

I have a very similar set up on my 09 accord ex. I do have the progress 22.5mm rear sway bar and I didn’t need to drill which is interesting because I always thought the cp2 and the cu2 platforms were almost identical. I also recommend the ultra racing trunk brace it goes so good with the rear sway bar.

Lookin forward to hearing about the transmission mods. I'm about to do the shifter base bushings and wonder if the shifter cable bushings are worth it.

How much experience would you say you'd need to install the sound deadening foam? I'd really like to bring down the road noise in my TSX but I don't have much experience

Wanting to do the same thing to my manual cu2 with 200k miles. Wanting to get atleast another 100k out of it. I'm wanting to swap in another transmission because my synchros are shot. Is a k24z7 transmission a direct fit? It's got lsd and easier to find

Take it from me. Save your time.

NEVER straight pipe these cars/engines. They sound absolutely terrible without s proper exhaust.

These cars do not belong with an straight piped exhaust.

Imo save yourself the money just delete the muffler and buy a ktuner…car will feel like a totally different car I have a 08 accord same engine basiclly and these have very decent flowing systems stock, changing that down pipe is where your gonna notice the most gains…the accord is turned down compared to the Acura motor and has the most disgusting rev hang I’ve ever dealt with in my life so the tune imo is a must 😂😂

😍😍😍 Thank you for posting, I have a 2010 auto TSX with just under 170, 000 miles on her and these mods are the best I’ve seen as far as making the car run more efficiently without taking away from the beauty of the classiness of it. Now i know what I need to research when it comes to modding my baby. 🥹🙏🏾💖🥲
