I have always known Burek to be a Bosnian Bosnian friends introduced me and I've eaten many savoury Burek in Bosnia and they are great!

LAKROR= spinach or kale or "hitha" pie, PERPEQ= cream and yogurt or cheese pie, KUNGULLUR= Pumpkin pie, MANTIA= ground beef pie (in dumpling shape) or just meet pie, RESENIK= white cabage pie, PITE ME RRATH= string rolled pie in circles with cream and toped with garlicy yogurt after crispy baked, FLI (my favorite)= like crapes but put in about 30-60 layers in a big dish and takes about 2 hour to cook it and should be outside on "fire", am gettig hungry damn, i love Albanian dishes yami greeting

The filling is ground beef & onions. Sauté it together on the stove until the beef is cooked. Add salt to your preference. Very delicious.

Each dough ball is a layer. We used most on the bottom and some for the top layer

Saute the ground beef with onions on the stove and then add it to the bottom of the dough and finish by adding the top layer and cook in the oven on 500 degrees for 15-20 minutes

The dough recipe is approximately 3 cups of dough, 1 teaspoon salt & add enough slight warm water until dough forms.

If you search Arnavut Boregi (Albanian Pie in Turkish), you will find thousands of results on Youtube. Unlike the Greeks, and the Serbs, the Turks give credits, where credit is due. The Greeks will even call the Turkish coffee, Greek Coffee, Hellenize everything and everyone.
