You put your left foot in.
You put your left foot out.
You do the hokey pokey.
And turn yourself about.
And that’s how you turn on the truck.

So what im trying to see could the ignition switch gears be the issue because my dash cluster shows the battery light instead of security. & also the PRNDL, gas gauge and coolant temp doesn’t function correctly. i was going to try to move the gears. because my key was getting stuck

I have an interesting problem with my 2000 Suburban, related to what you're doing here. I live in Northern Minnesota, so anytime we get below about -7 degrees, I cannot start my vehicle. The key turns just fine, but in the sequence, I s-l-o-w-l-y turn the key past the "on" position (dashboard and ignition lights come on), then all power and lights shut off, then the starter motor turns the engine over. The problem lies in that I can run that starter all I want, but the vehicle won't start, because the ignition circuit is not active. I do not believe it to be the keylock itself (although I am going to replace that at the same time), but rather that there is something loose in the electronic switch mechanism itself. Right now, everything works fine (with one exception), as it is approaching 60 degrees. But my new problem is that I cannot get the radio to send audio to the amplifiers! (In short, I know it's not the radio itself, as a different radio did the same thing when plugged in.) But I am of the opinion that this problem also stems from the switching circuitry, as the vehicle is designed to cut out the radio when cranking the engine. Does this sound plausible, that I will need to replace the switch circuitry? Thanks in advance.

So I just got the cylinder fixed. It turns everything on, but doesn’t start the truck.
