I don't understand how a government and a state can allow this!

I’ve been sober 13 years
My heart breaks over this. There goes I but the grace of God. There is still hope for everyone.

These people were babies once, innocent and carefree, they have families that cared. I'm heartbroken.

This is eye opening on how my world is opposite of their world. I thank God for his grace and mercy and truly hope for the best for those suffering from addiction and homelessness.

Although I grew up watching American zombie films at a young age, I had no idea that zombies truly existed here.

What cities seem to be for.

Hello people. My nephew overdosed on Molly laced with fentanyl. He is on life support. The doctors got him in a medical induced coma because they found a black spot on his brain which may be signs of a stroke. They flew him to a hospital in Oregon from Washington so that there would be a dialysis machine there. Today he sat up and tried to pull out the ventilator tubes. They re sedated him. Right now they are slowly waking him up and yesterday there were no signs of brain activity but today they are seeing signs. Please please beautiful people stay away from everything on the streets. They are putting fentanyl in everything under the sun. I wish I could be with these people and tell them that they friggin matter and we are sad when they suffer and ultimately die. God bless you all. If you could remember to pray for our Jimmy when you pray it would be so appreciated.🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏❤️

Absolutely surreal and heartbreaking!!! The city politicians aught to be ashamed of themselves for allowing this to happen. This is the City of Brotherly Love???!!! I think not!!!

So sad. What a shit hole our beautiful cities are. Wouldn't be caught dead walking around in any major US city. There's several YouTube channels of walking tours of some of the grittiest slums in the Philippines that are nicer, friendlier and safer than our streets. Such a disgrace and shame. They're like zombies. Heart breaking.

How an normal society could allow this? This victims must be saved and criminals must be in jail.

My dad was born in Philadelphia in 1913 one of 13 children. His father was a police detective. His mom was a seamstress. He grew up strict Roman Catholic. Mass was everyday at 07:30 AM before school taught by a nun whose word was law. Shined shoes and coat and tie was an everyday thing for the family. At 16 you were allowed to get rid of knickerbockers. At 21 you were allowed to drink a beer with your dad which was also big stuff. In the 1920s Philadelphia was considered one of the world's premier cities. Not now.

This takes me back to the streets and doorways of Brooklyn in the mid to late 60’s where many young men would be “ dozing off” from heroin addiction after coming back from Vietnam. They could not keep themselves upright and some of my friends would laugh. It just broke my heart since there were members of my family affected as well. Their struggle is real!

As a woman it’s hard to imagine allowing myself to be so intoxicated in public. Talk about vulnerability!! I’m used to following all the tips to avoid being kidnapped, raped, robbed etc. Like walking with a purpose, head on a swivel, keeping my bag/purse close to me and zipped closed etc. 😬
