I'm from a third world country with one of the poorest economies in the world. But I've never seen Drug addicts and mountains of garbage like this in the streets . Funny part is even myself also applied for green card last year. Never thought my situation is much better than most of them.

It use to be if you were a junkie you were ashamed and tried to hide it not no more apparently they don’t care who sees them or who walks onto their dirty needles. Sympathy should be for the residents who have to put up with this shit

My mother grew up in the south Bronx during the 70's and 80's. I showed her this video and she told me that this is what NYC looked like during those decades. Keep in mind that NYC had a HUGE drug problem during those decades. It is sad that nothing has changed since those decades. I hope that the people in this area can get help.

I’m pleading now…..folks, take care of your garbage, old clothes and blankets and random pieces of paper and wrappers. I’m a recovering addict so I know how crappy you feel and how hard it is to extricate yourself from the hell of craving and using over and over again. BUT, the crap you leave on the ground is repulsive and really detracts people who might want to help. Keep your trash with you until you can find a place to dump it. You don’t have to sleep in a shit hole. This is one thing that will help you out. Show a little respect for your community. Please….
