This was one of the funniest returns I have ever seen. Getting a BGS 1 seems just as hard as getting a BGS 10. Which is a super weird balance

I can actually answer the edges question you have. Half of the weight in the edges grade is determined by the shape consistency of the silhouette so cards will only get lower than a 5 if they are missing some card from the edge or like the blue eyes may have less wear but the corner on the bottom is rounded off missing some of the card.

I think with the edges, you can literally grab a pair of scissors and do some cuts. I think that's where you get into low numbers. if the edge actually looks like an edge, it's probably 5+.

I think why the edges scores might be so wack is there might just be basing it of how it looks in the front 🤷🏼‍♂️

Those bullet holes are almost certainly push pin holes to put it up on the wall/cork-board.

Fun fact, back in 2006 duelist would alter cards to be able to feel them inside the sleeves such as holes or other things that you could feel on the back of the card without looking.

There probably stamped from front to back to feel the holes on the backside. Maybe 2 on here because another card had only 1.

To get a 1 from Beckett: send through washer machine, then through dryer and 1 or lower has been pulled 😂😅

Lol, this is a funny concept! I don't get how they're so strict with everything 8 and above, but below that it's like "Yeah, whatever - give it a five/six. It does HAVE edges, I guess."

Theres actually a market for some of these really low grades. Atleast there is in pokemon cards. Some people want a card in every numerical grade possible and try to collect psa/bgs 1-10. It still probably isnt worth grading them, but its still pretty cool to see really damaged cards get graded like this

Makes me wanna send in my first card a sdk blue eyes from when I started, it's been through washers, dryers, baths, left outside in a zip lock bag for a winter played by a pool outside lol
