It was brought up as a question "Why do poor blacks and poor whites not seem to be able to get together on more issues? Labels etc. were offered, true, but "by design" was something that deserves a look. Many countries do not tolerate race hate speech, KKK activities are outlawed. This ability to freely promote inequality and hate in the US keeps a lot of people apart. This works for the power brokers and status quo. J. Edgar Hoover thought Black Panther Fred Hampton was one of the most dangerous people in America, not because of a commitment to violence but because of his ability to communicate and bring people together. Hoover was worried about Panthers joining up with other poor people such as those in the Appalachia. This was, in fact, beginning to happen when the FBI killed Hampton. Divide and conquer folks, keep the poor preferably at each-others' throats.
