American anchors had mixed reactions as they announced Donald Trump as the 47th president of the United States.

Fox News praised the president-elect's campaign, while other networks focused on his criminal convictions and involvement in the January 6 riots. Trump becomes the first convicted criminal to win the White House. At 78, he is also the oldest person ever elected to the office
