Just hearing you hit the first few notes triggered the whole song in my head

EMG PJ plus Hazlab preamp is the key to classic Spector tone

Kinda close, but Mike never palm muted as far as I know. He just dug in hard and played with his full arm!

Also the P pickup position is swapped the treble side is closer to the neck and the bass side is closer to the bridge that also counts

This is one reason I'll never part with my Spector Euro 4. I haven't played it in years but she's such a beautiful instrument to look at every once in awhile when I open the case. I've had it 18 years. When i want to get my 80's and 90's rock on she's the go to bass.

That scraped heavy pick sound is so rad for metal/rock/punk

I own a Spector Legend 5
I upgraded the bridge to a Kickass Bridge
I’m getting EMG DC 40’s soon
The sound and feel is Insane

I thought he was going to discuss some pedals or something, but it really is (mostly) that bass getting that sound.

My favourite bass guitars of all time! Unfortunately, I have never owned one but love their look and sound more than any other high end basses. I’m sure they play extremely well too.

What about when Rob Trujillo played on Jerry Cantrell's Degradation Trip?

One of my favorite bass riffs ever. The only problem with this song, "Would, " is that it is too short

poor Mike Starr, he loved Layne & AIC so much, but was dismissed too early. Mike Inez is also great, but Starr's whole heart was with Layne & the boys⭐⭐⭐

Spectors have a different tone anyway.I've owned a Czech made 5 string, a MIJ 4 string, and I presently own a MIK 5 string.(all 3 neck thru's).Not a big fan, they feel weird, probably cuz of that arched top.?Loverboy, Billy Idol, The Warning, AIC..All Spector. They sound best when played with a pick, IMO.
