Star Citizen is an open development, crowd funded project from Cloud Imperium. Consisting of 2 games, Squadron 42 a single player, story driven campaign putting you in the middle of the Vanduul attacks as an up and coming UEE Navy pilot, and Star Citizen, a highly detailed
first person MMO set within a persistent universe where there are no limits. This includes, space, and ground aspects, massive spaceships with full interiors and interactions, a full dynamic economy which reacts to the players actions allowing for anything you can imagine.
It is all being built on the StarEngine (a modified version of Amazon's Lumberyard Engine).
Please bare in mind that this is heavily WIP and in an alpha state in which much of the foundational tech to make it a reality is still being developed. Both games do not have set release dates yet but you can play the alpha build for the PU MMO which makes consistent progress
with quarterly patch releases throughout the year.

I am an independent content creator and a fan of the game, I am not paid by Cloud Imperium however I do accept ships from them to giveaway to my community but this will by no means influence my opinion or what I say and believe about the project.

They should make a Mule tractor variant. Anything up to 32 scu boxes. So basically, a forklift.

I managed to get to the Kiosk and it opens up the old inventory window. Much better than all the extra windows that added. Also the hauling mission payouts are much more worth doing. The entry level mission went from 4k to 17k if i remember correctly. I've seen a screenshot of the senior missions and they look to pay out more than 100k.

im glad they upped the pay a bit, it was barely covering the gas/risk of death XD

Very glad to hear CIG are finally adding more ships available for renting. Thanks for the update, Mac!

the renting is also a good way to test the ship out to see if it fits what you want it for. I would like to say a part ex with in game purchases

yeah, with the possible exception of military variants, I think all ships should be rentable in-game once they are purchasable in-game.

The multitool definitely shouldn't be able to move 16 SCU crates at all unless its being used in tandem with another tractor beam. Maybe cap it out at 8 SCU. Two people using multitools together can move a 16 SCU box sluggishly. Add a 3rd multitool and it moves more freely. 4 multitools should be able to move a 32 SCU crate sluggishly. Adding a 5th allows them to move it more freely and so on. Its a multitool. It shouldnt really be able do any of its functions so well that you dont bother with a dedicated tool whose primary purpose is that function.

Theres a reason people arent running around with the dedicated tractor beam. The cost to buy one coupled with the fact that it takes up a primary weapon slot means its simply not worth it most of the time.

Thank god the cargo hauling contract payouts are going up. The older payouts were probably only good enough for the cost of running the ship and a good meal. Looking forward to trying out the cargo hauling now.

Yes, come play free flight on the 3.23 live servers, which have been neglected since release!

2 of my biggest issues are the payouts for jobs and ship debris but im happy to hear about these amazing improvements

They went back to old UI for item banks, and it is horrible. Worst decision ever.

In my opinion CIG is trying to balance realism versus fun. Box size versus mass is an example. If you make it about mass, just get rid of the handheld. Cause it's not fun to run into 1 scu of something the handheld can't lift. People will just carry the Dedicated tractor around then when they plan on moving things.

Only CIG could take the incredible potential of a junkyard in Pyro and dilute it with gameplay mechanics that feel more like magic than immersive experiences. Instead of genuine, hands-on repair gameplay, we get terminals that magically spawn components, and dust that somehow fixes our ships. Despite claiming there's 'more scrap in the scrapyard, ' it's just static assets with no real interaction. Where’s the ability to salvage parts from derelict ships or stock up on components to repair our own ships?

Imagine the depth of gameplay if we could actually perform the repairs ourselves, create tools, and offer our services through a request system—true repairman gameplay with real consequences and rewards. It’s mind-blowing that CIG is rolling back on so many exciting possibilities the community has been dreaming about.

Why focus so heavily on ship sales instead of building the groundbreaking game you’ve promised? The potential for a truly immersive universe is there, but it feels like it’s being overshadowed by a flood of new ships that bring little to no new gameplay. Gamers just want a game to play, not just to collect 3D rendered models. Don’t miss this golden opportunity to create something truly legendary.

They did the change to the inventory so it wouldn't be all in one spot. Better for balancing I'm guessing.

How to hauling missions for the Hull-C work? How do I request the cargo from mission and from personal inventory to be loaded?

well, the tractor beam changes make sense. really want to get my hands on this update. :)

Good that they listened to the community on the kiosks. I hope they use the UI there to make a new solution somehow, like an equipment manager on that screen, with a paper doll an WPN1/2 slots, the UI feel was good (the transparent windows of the old inventory management are not the best) but obviously the functionality poor

Ryan, do you have any insight into when the next wipe might occur?
