I think that daily drawing practice can be a good thing (at any level). But, as was pointed out, it definitely helps to have some kind of intent/goal, and you need to recognise the signs of burnout (the earlier the better). Otherwise it'll just be counterproductive. Great vid. Thank you!

As someone who used to draw everyday, I can say it's the best and worst advice. It depends a lot on where you are in your journey. A few years of a daily routine is CRUCIAL imo for many creators who grew up with online connectivity...but isn't sustainable throughout a traditional fine art career. That said I worry that all of you have overlooked the POINT of daily sketching/drawing/painting. It's about not letting the creative mind atrophy through procrastination, but to find a life balance where for many young creators there isn't one. It's not bad advice to sketch every day, it's bad advice to say THAT ALONE makes you a great artist

Drawing is both a physical and mental ability. Drawing for the sake of drawing isn't enough, you need to work different skills more than being able to do good strokes. I sometimes see that my drawing abilities got better without drawing for months because I was actually learning, reading, going to classes, and getting knowledge . is like my model drawing, taught me, even if you aren't drawing the model, if you analyze it well, you aren't losing time.

oh, I have taken such a break from art making. I would browse through my older sketchbooks and feel like, hm, I wonder if I lost all my skills. so watching this video, I still feel hope I can come back to art... well, drawing specifically. thank you for the clip

I love it... clash of the 'dumb stuff you hear everywhere' with 'reality check/ what the heck/ says who?'
