I am an artist with an art degree, and an art teacher moved in close to my house. We had her over as a house warming and she, absolutely unprompted, started critiquing art I made as a kid that was hung up around the house. Kept saying things like you have all these drawing mistakes etc. It was extremely rude, and I told her my current art isn’t displayed rn either. I later visited her home and let’s just say when I saw her art displayed it felt like she threw stones when her house was made of glass. Miss ma’am was out here drawing two elbows per arm

I almost cried because she just grabbed a marker, drew a whole other thing and grabbed a new paper to me and just said “here, draw it like the paper and don’t suck”. Like ma’am, I’m TRYING. JUST DONT SCRIBBLE ON THE DAMN PAPER AND I CAN FIX SOME STUFF.

I actually screamed at an art teacher once, because I was just showing them a Christmas present I was doing for my cousin. It wasn't for a grade and i didn't want any critiques. And she grabbed her marker and almost drew on it and I screamed at her before she could that this was a gift and not to touch it

my previous art teacher used to be like this (luckily, i have a much better one now.) and it was awful. she barely even gave any positive criticism, it was *always* negative. i felt like i was shitty at art. she also only gave a fuck about on artstyle and only one, which is of course realism. i like drawing cartoony stuff, i hate realism. she would take a pencil, draw on the stuff i drew myself, and turn it into realism. she was so minimalist too. she never accepted any vibrant colors. my current art teacher though, is a sweetheart. once i started to be her student i realized that my art wasnt shitty after all. (forgot to mention, my previous art teacher also made fun of my friend bc of her ADHD)

Mine would rather gouge out her own eye than scribble on someone else's art. She's a renowned artist and even has a website to share her art. She know the pain of when someone scribbles on art that probably took 3 days.

My art teacher is a sugar cube, she loves everything i do and want to post my art and animations on facebook to her friends and always motivates people who are learning. Last month i wa steaching her how to use ibis paint (she is an old lady)

OKAY but like! This was 3 Going onto 4 Years ago...

I HAD THIS DRAWING THAT TOOK ME A WHOLE MONTH TO DRAW ON MY COMPUTER AND THIS TEACHER WHO I SO HAPPENED TO HAVE BEEF WITH! Walks Over To Me Who was sitting At my Desk Listening to Music Well I was Adding the Finishing touches To My Artwork and he PURPOSELY Pressed the DELETE Button and He had the Audacity To PRETEND THEY DID IT ON ACCIDENT. I Cried So Hard... And they Cried Shortly After I Put Thumb Tacks in His Chair :)

(I didn't get suspended because this was on my last day of year 6 > Going To High School)
