Hisense U8K Review - Best Value TV Of 2023?

The Hisense U8/U8K is a mid-range 4k TV released in 2023. It's Hisense's flagship 2023 ULED model, sitting above the Hisense U7K. It replaces the Hisense U8/U8H, and while similar, the U8K offers more local dimming zones than its predecessor, a more powerful internal 5-speaker setup, and two HDMI 2.1 bandwidth ports that can do up to 4k @ 144Hz. It still has a full suite of gaming features, like variable refresh rate support and Hisense's Game Mode Pro gaming interface. It's compatible with Dolby Vision HDR and HDR10+, is certified as IMAX Enhanced, and supports DTS and Dolby advanced audio formats. It has the user-friendly Google TV interface, which is easy to use and has a great selection of streaming apps. It comes in a wide range of sizes, from a 55-inch model to a massive 100-inch.

The Sony isn't just a little more expensive...ITS AROUND 65% MORE! You could buy the Hisense get a game console & at least 1 game & an extra controller for the difference in price! Easy buying decision for average consumers!

I was an eary adopter of Hisense when they first came out. I bought their 32 inch gaming monitor that only last for one year. So i was hesitant to buy another Hisense product. I swithced to LG Oled because at that time around 2016 LED tvs were dim and had terrible blacks. But after using 3 different generation of LG OLED i was so disappointed with the burn in i was getting in all their TVs. I only use my TV for watching movies and never game or watch TV programming. By then its 2022 and i decided to take a look at look LEDs again. I did alot of research and found alot of people very satisfied with Hisense. So i decided to take the plung and try Hisense one last time and i was so impressed with my purchase. I bought the 65' U7H and was blown away by its contrast ratio and bright HDR. And this is comparing to my LG OLED that i replaced. So for anyone one the fence as to wonder if this tv was worth it. I can completely say to

I love my u8k. Sports, gaming, and streaming look amazing. The sound is so good, I don’t even use my sound bar. It’s the best all around tv. I have a 55 for 750. I love my C9 and C1 but I’m done with oled.

Should be noted: When they claim a VA panel looks "washed out" from the sides that is mainly the contrast. So from the side it basicly looks like a IPS panel from the front in a dark room... So nothing to worry about😂

I've been using the Hisense 65U8H for the past year and have been happy with the TV AFTER all the firmware updates. Just ordered the Hisense 85" U8K from Best Buy for $1, 799, should arrive in a week an a half.

I am considering this and the QM8, I would prefer a 55" panel but 65" would work fine. Just need to ditch my decade old plasma TV for something with high refresh so I can play games off my PC on the big screen.

Great review!!! Just bought this badboy and cannot wait for it!. Got it for my PC (AMD 7600X and AMD 7900 GRE) wondering about the motion lag over 100hz (say i run it at 120 or 144) for fast paced games like warzone am i better to lock the frames and disable VRR? appreciate it !!!
