After reviewing the U8K last year, I wanted to find out whether the U8N was worth the upgrade and whether mini-LED TV is still better than an OLED TV? Let’s find out!

The newest instalment in the series continues to be one of the best options in its price range. Packed with gaming features and boasting an improved design, it also offers exceptionally bright backlighting, making it an ideal choice for well-lit rooms and daytime viewing

Who's going to win the Euros? (no cheating if, by the time you watch this video, the tournament has ended)

I bought this TV in 65inch at Best Buy about a month and a half ago for $1k usd and it looks absolutely brilliant! It replaced a 2016 flagship Samsung QLED that was 4 times the price as the Hisense and only 55inch.

I watched your review of the U8K last year when trying to decide on my purchase decision, and it was a very compelling 👍🏽 This review is also very compelling and i believe you've hit the nail on the head my friend 🎉 Thanks and keep up the cool reviews 😎

Crazy that UEFA have licensed TV's to use the Euro's as a selling point for TVs but has stepped back on broadcasting any games in 4K which the previous Euro's and World Cup did for every game.

The U8N looks excellent with all the bells and whistles the best TV wizards could ever come up with, and I'm sure it's worth it, I guess... But you really don't need to empty your partner's bank account to get a good Hisense telly. For those on tight budgets you could get the Hisense TV I bought back in 2022 - it is a QLED, has 4K resolution, Dolby Vision HDR, Alexa built in, has gaming mode, casting from your mobile devices or Airplay (no need for Chrome Cast), all the picture and sound settings you've mentioned for the U8N, the same smart TV software and dashboard and apps you mentioned too, etc. etc. It's perhaps not quite the U8N but an excellent telly nonetheless, I paid £379 for the 50 inch version in 2022, the same model is now £599, but still affordable IMO... Great video Mark, love your show, just saying though, there are even cheaper Hisense options that are also great tellys, so shop around folks..!

What’s it like wide viewing angle. I’ve have the LG OLED 55B9PLA and that’s superb. The lower end Hisense screens are not that great on wide angle on some reviews which puts me off the make. If the viewing angle is good then this has it all for the money.

Hey guys … usually the U.K. and U.S. versions of Hisense TVs are fundamentally different … is this TV an exception ? Are U.S. and U.K. versions identical ? Thank you

I will say I purchased a U7N and it is a beast

Hey man it looks like the screen is angled upwards slightly. Can you adjust the tilt on this screen?

Have they worked on the banding and off angle viewing ? I own the U8H from 2 years ago as well as the Samsung QN90a. The Hisese is a very good value, however it has something that you cant " unsee"..that banding being a huge issue

Nice TV, though had to recommend for those outside north America .. the u8n performs differently according to region. Hope hisense gets to uniform performance like LG especially in its top line up.

I watched your review with great interest as I'm rather disappointed with my 3.5 years old 65" Sony KD-65A89 BAEP Bravia OLED, for which I paid 3000 Euro, that developed large clusters of dead pixels, that unfortunately Sony will not fix under guarantee. Therefore Mini-LED sounds more reliable to me for my future TV.

I like that clever solar-powered remote control! Sadly, this old man can't wrestle a rig like this into his house. I make do with one of those TINY "pico projectors" projecting a picture on the wall. The tiny form factor allowed me to toss it into my rucksack and take it home easily, at least. Picture's not as good as this, but I can't have everything. A nice bonus is I can charge it all up on solar panels during the day and watch it at night.

How does this compare to Samsung QN85C?

In Many of the scenes I can see little squares throughout the tv, especially in the lighter colors. Is this the backlighting? Is this normal? Look at the yellow chest of the bird at 4:32 seconds.

update: someone told me in a forum that the little squares that can be seen in this video is a product of the streaming service he is using and not the tv. There is more but that was the main point.

be aware the low price on Hisense come with high risk of panel failure. I had one for 5 months and the panel developed a blue tint. The warranty service is also abysmal. they requested picture after picture of the set. they never sent out a tech, and made a determination to NOT honor the warranty solely on pictures. the set was never damaged or abused while in use.

How about its online behaviour, wrt eg: adverts, privacy concerns, etc? Worries about this are a big factor in my hesitating to replace my current TV
