My Dad suffered from cluster headaches for 35 years, and he finally found out about the psilocybin studies. After the first time trying it, no headaches for 3 years. They then came back so he did it again one time, and never had another headache. IT WORKS!!

I genuinely hope everyone reading this feels better. It’s the worst feeling. You feel alone & helpless against it sometimes but just remember the calming feeling right after the pain goes away. Life starts feeling great. Stay strong 💪🏽

Seeing someone discuss these headaches is very positive for me. I was diagnosed with clusters about 9 years ago, and at first, no one thought that it could be as I’m female. I have been a migraine sufferer for decades, but have since gone to these… and let me tell you, ‘sui¢ide headache’ is a good nickname as it is the worst pain I’ve ever felt- and I’ve delivered 4 children. The one thing that I’ve noticed helped: excedrin and oxygen. Slow, deep, steady breaths of 10L O2 but if I’m home, just deep slow breaths. I do hope someone one day finds a ‘cure’ or better tx because while only a short attack, it feels like your dying.

Thank you so much. I am in my cluster headache period right now. People are so misunderstanding even ppl u thought were close 2 u, and its very maddening. It isnt just a headache, its a neurological disorder, and the most painful one possible. It isnt a exact pattern, there isnt an exact way to stop them, there isnt an exact way to know how many you will get in a day or a cluster period. It isnt something cluster headache sufferers created, it isnt something we should be blamed for because we dont even know whats causing it, yet still doing our best to SURVIVE THEM. Some of them feel so bad they feel like mini strokes. I went to the ER the other day, was sent to the express (which i had to walk 2 on my own in pain instead of the guy just sending me to the regular ER which is right b y the check in...) then the damn doctors there had the nerve to come to me while im in pain(you sure your not suffering from migraines?) IM LIKE NO ITS BEEN 15 years!!! just because our options for medicine are limited doesnt mean you have to confuse me with having a migraine! ESPECIALLY WHEN I SAID LIGHT DOESNT BOTHER ME, EVERYTHING BOTHERS ME DURING MY HEADACHE! Ugh its so frustrating smh

I was visiting with the sweetest old man the other day. We were sharing our health struggles. Headaches and migraines mostly.
We both were saying how NOTHING has ever touch them.
IMPORTANT FOR ALL STRUGGLING WITH CLUSTER
He then told me when nothing ever worked and he struggled for many many years that he hasn’t had one since he started using a REBREATHER that his doctor prescribed him a couple years ago to deal with his very stubborn chronic cluster headaches.😮
I’m anxious to talk to my doctor about this and get a rebreather for myself.

Started taking 10, 000 IU of Vitamin D3 daily and haven’t had a cluster headache in 2 years. Before this I would get a month worth of cluster headaches around once a year. It’s worth a try!

I’ve been getting clusters since I turned 19. I am 33 now. The only “cure” I seem to have found is changing my sleep cycle. Over the years when I have went from a day shift job to a night shift I never once got them. Or if I was in the middle of a cycle they would stop. I get them for almost a whole month once a year. When I worked Nightshift, each time I went almost 3 years without getting them. Within a week of switching back to a day shift schedule I’d start getting them. Unfortunately my family life and kids I have to stay on day shift schedule. Hope this helps someone. I feel your pain..
Stay strong. ✌️

Almost thought it came to this for me, but luckily it was just a sinus headache.

I have read that certain psychedelic drugs such as psilocybin can be used to effectively treat cluster and migraine headache attacks. I believe the FDA commenced phase one and two trials with psilocybin as the primary treatment protocol for certain headaches.

I had them from age 12 to about 45 years old. Now, just the occasional Ocular Blindness with no pain. Think of someone pinching the back of your eye with a pair of pliers, then slowly wrenching your eye out of the socket over the course of an hour, several times per day. Suicide Headaches is what some Doctors call them. Most people can not relate and have no Idea what we endure or have endured.

Could cervical instability be the cause of such attacks??

Emgality 120mg double shot injection, prednol steroids, isoptin twice a day, laroxyl helped me a lot. But the most useful is zolmitriptan 5 mg just before the attack will minimize the pain and the duration.
