First released in 1950, the Fender Telecaster is one of the most iconic electric guitars in the world, made famous by players such as Keith Richards, Albert Collins, Jonny Greenwood, Graham Coxon, Jeff Buckley, James Burton and Bruce Springsteen.

The Telecaster's unique, instantly recognisable tone comes from a combination of it's solid "slab" body, bolt on maple neck, "string through" body and of course, it's biting twangy bridge pickup. In this bite-size beginner's guide to guitars, we dissect the Fender Tele, starting with it's history, and pointing out all the important factors that, over the years, have made it such a legendary guitar!

I only own one Tele and it's a diy build that I modded out. If I was to get another it would probably be a Schecter PT or Fastback!🤘
