26 mile wide island, how long does it take to walk out, less than 2 weeks if you were blind. Sounds like a look at me scheme!

If you were going to ever get lost in a wilderness, this would be the best climate. She had drinking water readily available and a huge assortment of edible vegetation. Glad she’s alive.

I'm going to go nightclubing, for a week, then tell my wife how happy I am to be found as I was lost 😂

How do you get lost on Hawaiian island. Just walk toward the ocean?

Got lost in a forest for 3 hours, & turns out I was only a mile away from my campsite 🙃

I’m sure she’ll be invited to be on GMA but she’ll get lost on the subway and disappear for two weeks. She should write a book on how to get lost 3 miles from the trailhead.

I'm sure nobody on the island made a fire at night or there was some sort of light shortage on the island to keep this girl from seeing any signs of civilization for 2 weeks😂

Why would she go hiking alone without a cell phone and walk 3 miles into a forest.

Great news. 3 miles doesn't sound like it's far; but it truly is easy to get lost in a forest. Fear probably told her she was much further than that. So lucky it wasn't a freezing climate & she had access to ample fresh water. She also sounds very grateful. Really happy for all concerned that she's back with her family. A zillion thanks to all those that put in their great efforts into rescuing her.

Glad she is ok, but it was just dumb wondering off to rest without telling anyone on a trail you clearly know nothing about. Her situation in reality was her own fault. Really annoying when people do things like this. I have complete empathy for her family

First, happy to hear you are alive. Second, I guess you have nothing to do at home that you go out just like a hose and now you 're crying the same with a baby in a hospital.

something fishy, why not just pick a direction and walk, on that island bound to end up at civilization sooner then later.
