Potato chips was a chef trying to get back at a customer. A customer constantly complained to the chef about his fries being too thick, and so one day, the chef got an idea. He made the chips so thin, the customer couldn't use his fork to eat it. (Remember, this was during the time where people thought eating with their hands was very weird and gross!) He served them to the customer, and to the chef's surprise, the customer started eating with his hands, and complimented the chef on the delicious "fries." The chef didn't get his revenge, but chips were created!
