My Mom just gave me her Mirro Canner and has been the one she used when I a a kid. The lid parts has never been cleaned I'm sure. Thank you so much for the detailed video. I've learned how to use her pressure canner because of you. ❤❤❤

You are an awesome teacher! I found a brand new in the box 1971 Mirror M0312 and I was intimidated by it. Not anymore. Thank you so much! Very thorough and informative!

This is absolutely the best tutorial for mirror canners I have ever seen. I’ve been canning with one of these since the mid 80s, and never knew I was doing so much wrong. Thank you so much!

I just got a 16 Mirro PC. I have a large AA, but sometimes just need a smaller load. THANK YOU so much for this well detailed set of instructions on how this canner is maintained and how it works. I feel more confident to now try it. I do have the newer Mirro jigglers, but now I know what to expect with a Mirro! Again, thank you.

Love the video! Thank you so much for the step by step instructions. We picked up a 22qt at the thrift store. Everything was there and in good condition but we did not know that the side also steams to it locks! 😂 we turned it off for my husband to inspect. As it was decompressing you started talking about it. It all worked out wonderfully! Again thank you for the detailed information. Love your shirt.❤❤👊🙏God bless

And I cannot tell you how happy I was to have found your
What an EXCEPTIONAL teacher you are.
I hope you will continue to do MANY MORE videos on canning with our beautiful “Mirro Matic” Canner!!!
🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

Wishing you both exceptional health and happiness 🙂

(And get some Soursop fruit and or tea for your husband.
It’s been said it cures “C” You can get it much easier in the US than we can in Canada.)

I bought my 22 qt Mirro in a second-hand store and it didn't have any instructions. Your explanations are so easy to follow. You cover everything; from how to maintain the pressure canner to how to use it. I am so grateful for your gift of teaching. Greetings from Canada!

Also I thought would be a point as well, when your Mirro comes to pressure and you put the Regulator on it, it may take up to 20 minutes for it to start jiggling.
That’s the only thing missing from this Umaaaazing video!
I called Mirro and they explained this to me. In case anyone finds this helpful. Love your videos!!!
Please make lots

You are correct to store your canner as you do. If you store it with the top installed compressed it will wear out much sooner.

Thank you so so so so much for taking the time to make this video. I learned so much. My grandma's Mirror canner still had the receipt stapled to the manual from 1986. :)

Thank you so much for such detailed, thorough, and easy to comprehend information! This is the best video I could have chosen and I don't need to watch any other as you have covered absolutely everything right down to possible problems. Thank you again! ❤

Very interesting video, thank you! I've only pressure canned in Presto canners but found a great deal on a used Mirro 22 (23?) qt canner (in original box with original documents !). Ashamed to say that I did purchase a new gasket for it but in the over 5 years I've owned it I still haven't tried canning with it. Well, you know canning 'season'...you just don't have time for somewhat 'risky' experiments. I'm hoping that in a TEOTWAWKI situation, this canner would function well on an alternate-fuel heat source. Thank you for all these good tips, I'll be ordering a new blow off button.

I am so glad to have found this video that is specific to my old Mirro canner. I did not know how the lid lock works nor how to maintain it. I really like your slow cool down procedure. You are an excellent teacher. Thank you. ❤️

My blow off button on my 16 qt mirro appears to be metal. I want to use it but I am afraid

This is the best video! I have the same canner from my grandma and don’t know how to use it. I now feel confident that I can use it properly and not fear it. So thank you so much!

You are awesome! Thank you thank you thank you. Hopefully your video will feed my family & that is such an impact. I was given this canner with zero instructions or box & no family members to teach me. This is the only video I needed to watch finally getting it out of the cabinet after 3 yrs of it sitting. Probably will have to buy a new gasket due to sitting but already found part replacement. THANK YOU

Queston.?? What I am from an older manual "when control jiggles vigorously, reduce heat so that the control only jiggles about 3-4 times per minute" am I reading that wrong?
