Hello!
This is a video about how I prepare my avocado seed before carving, what to do when it dries, and how to protect it after you finished your work!
I made a video in Chinese before, now I decided to make a video again in English so more people could understand how to do it. And this time I also take some samples to show you what you might see when you're drying your avocado seed.

*Please keep the working surface clear
*Make sure you've got first aid kit at home just in case anything happens
*Take rests every 30-60 minutes (walk around, look outside, stretch your body)

Hi! I found out recently by accident that leaving the stone or seed to dry with the outer skin on for a couple of weeks, it does shrink with out cracking by the middle. That way it enables you to carve the whole seed. I love your carvings BTW, awesome workmanship. Cheers! [EDIT: you've got a sweet voice, it gave me the ASMRs]

This is such a great idea! I wanted to try carving tagua nuts (vegetable ivory) but this is a great alternative to start with. The fact that it can carve so smoothly and then dry into a very hard woodlike texture is really great.
