The Ford Focus MK2 has a secret menu that will give Whig access to some useful functions.

Some numbers that you see are written in the hexadecimal (Hex) number system. At 3:26 you see fuel percent 002B, which is equivalent to decimal number 43. So your fuel tank is 43% full.

At 3:30 Engine temp. might be the coolant temperature. The gauge can show numbers only between the range 60 to 120, but the car computer reads the temperature of 30C from the sensor.

The ECU on my 2009 mk2 is fubar at the moment, I just hope it's just sensors on the rear busted drop-links, but getting it to turn over involves countdowns for the ECU warning reset/discharge. It's driving great when it starts. I just spent about an hour today rebuilding one of the low beam bulb assemblies with epoxy resin because of a short that melted all of the surrounding plastic. (It sounds as bad as it is) This is so obviously helpful! Thank you! Who knew that this sort of info was accessible outside of the owners manual.

I got error code D900, what does this one mean because it’s not on your list. And also my navigation system is suddenly not working anymore, it is stuck on the loading screen with the ford logo. Is this maybe why I got that code. Do you know how I can fix it?

I have just started restoring my mk2 and know so little about it. Apart from the under chassis, I am deeply trouble by how fuel thirsty it is. Any advise you lot can give me to improve it? Thanks
