Plenty of nurses…not enough pay and the conditions are deplorable. This isn’t my grandmother‘s nursing. That’s why you don’t see nurses older than 40 something working at the bedside. You certainly don’t see any over 50. Both of my grandmothers retired as nurses. You can’t even get these people to show up to work let alone retire.

Retired RN 🇺🇸. We've had a nursing shortage for decades and at the same time there are those who insist the Bachelor of Science/Baccalaureate Degree in Nursing be entry-level into nursing.

Experienced Nurses are the main ones who teach you how to be a nurse.

Atrium and Novant both mistreat nurses, which is why they should not be surprised about being short-staffed. Bullying and racism are common practices in those facilities. The nurse that left are all traveling or had to relocate.
