Ryzen 5 3600 + RTX 4070 - Tested in 2024

In this video, I'm testing the AMD Ryzen 5 3600 with the Nvidia RTX 4070 12GB in different games like Fortnite and Cyberpunk. The Ryzen 5 3600 is already almost 5 years old, but it still holds up pretty good, even in recent games. The Ryzen 5 3600 has 6 cores and 12 threads, has a TDP of 65W, has a frequency of 3.6 GHz and a turbo frequency of 4.2 GHz. The Nvidia RTX 4070 12GB came out in 2023, it has 12GB of GDDR6X memory with a memory speed of 21Gbps and a bandwith of 192 bits. It has 5888 cuda cores with a base speed of 1.92GHz and a turbo frequency of 2.49GHz.

My question is would a 4070 be too strong for the Ryzen 5 3600? Would my CPU bottleneck? Im currently running ryzen 5 3600 with 1660 super 6gb and wanna upfront but unsure if i should start with a new CPU or GPU, and have my eyes set on a 4070.

Why is it showing rtx 3070 in your game settings for RDR 2 and rainbow six siege.
Also, in cyberpunk, I see that the frame generation option is disabled for you which means you aren't using a 40 series card.
As far as I can see, this is a false video title.
I know the framerate counter says 4070 but that can easily be edited.

Love your tests, but I think you should use replays in Fortnite for benchmarks, so you won't have to record the same thing twice or more :)

I don't know why, but I have only 130 stable fps with this setup in fortnite

Great job, you cut off the CP77 test exactly at the moment when the camera moves to a densely populated street and the 3600 can no longer cope, and fps drops below 60.

with my ryzen 2600 and rx 6800 im getting 1% lows down to 10 no matter the resolution cause cpu get 100% cpu usage
