Hi, I'm Veronica. My firm, the Law Offices of Veronica T. Barton, is a Los Angeles-based criminal defense law firm, defending clients throughout California.

Can I get a discovery report after I had a citation dismissed? I had the ticket dismissed but the cop didn’t show up. I have a feeling he wrote a false report tho and I have dash cam footage to directly prove what he wrote on his report was false.

I filed a motion to compel discovery. It was granted. The prosecutor called and said they would it out and i still didnt recieve it. I dont want to motion to dimiss because then it gives them an option to deny. Any advise?

What if my multiple requests were refused and even my request to view the body-cam was cut off after 15 minutes. Upon firing my public defender and taking my evidence after the most inadequate ineffective assistance of council imaginable at trial, I discovered more violations by law enforcement than I could count. From soliciting charges aggressively to willful and wanton refusal to investigate even a single claim much less investigate contradicting claims of DV assault and battery easily resolved by investigating some of the 11 cameras footage of which I insisted they review. Then begged my public defender to get for 6 months straight before I told him I am going around him and requesting a judge subpoena it and then he finally responded by ordering me to not do that stating case law which would prevent me from getting the videos which turned out to be a bold faced lie based on my interpretation of that case. Also he never turned over all the evidence. He kept anything from the private investigator. What the hell? Was he protecting the city from lawsuit by screwing me over? I think definitely given that he couldn't even challenge a single statement against me despite massive evidentiary ability to do so. If it takes the rest of my life I will have justice for this malicious prosecution and crime against my civil rights.
