O Canada Official New Lyrics of Canadian National Anthem English:French

This symphonic orchestra and choir version of the Canadian national anthem is performed by Emmy award winning composer Dave Pierce (outstanding music direction for the 2010 Vancouver Olympics Opening Ceremony). This version features the newly updated official lyrics (2018) and includes lyric video. Lyrics are sung in English/French/English as is typically the most customary version to be performed in Canada.

O Canada is the national anthem of Canada. The song was originally commissioned by Lieutenant Governor of Quebec Théodore Robitaille for the 1880 Saint-Jean-Baptiste Day ceremony; Calixa Lavallée composed the music, after which, words were written by the poet and judge Sir Adolphe-Basile Routhier. The original lyrics were in French; an English translation was published in 1906. O Canada is a poem, even an epic poem. To really understand O Canada, you must listen the French version. The lyrics in French, are :

Now, you may understand what we sing in French; it is a beautiful poem in memory of the French people who come to Quebec from 1608 up to these days. It is now the land of our ancestors. My family arrived in Quebec in 1637. So, Canada is really the land of my ancestors for the last 10 generations.
