WTF?! I watches the entire trial and if anyone deserves death, this guy does.
I am petrified as to what this means for future school shooters if they see they can get away with it.. where they get meals, Healthcare, tv, family visits.
Unbelievable!

If this trial was in Texas, NC for sure would have gotten the death penalty. I live here in Florida (Miami) and yes the justice system is so flawed and bad. Good ppl and minimal first offenders get some harsh treatment than serious offenders here in the state of Florida.

If 17 fatalities plus a lot of injuries and mental injured doesn’t get you death penalty what does?

If these families choose to stay in Florida, they should NEVER be required to pay a dime in state taxes again. It’s sickening to think that these families will have to keep paying state taxes to provide meals, water, healthcare, clothing, Heat, A/C, and many other things for the monster who took their children. If this wasn’t deserving of the death penalty, I don’t know what is. I just hope and pray that this killer gets justice served within the next couple months while in prison.

This verdict "SUCKS" Marquis Lloyd got death and he killed three people ...Florida..(WTF") I like to know what the jurors were thinking. that were against death I like to know what were their thinking they never should have been on this jury panel if they didn't have the guts to send this fool to death. unlike the parents who said they don't blame the jury I do blame the jury what was your agenda jury person what is it.

I thought I heard someone say that when they were picking the jury, one question that was asked was " are you against the death penalty?"....and they all said no. So I think this is why everyone is shocked.

If this doesn't give you the death penalty... then what will? As a society we should not allow this. I'm so disgusted by the juror choice

The definition of death penalty should be defined to the jurors when selected from the beginning thoroughly before they are selected, making sure they fully understand. If not understood or not clear then remove completely.

Why is everyone trying to blame 1 juror when the foreman literally explained that it wasn't just 1 juror it was 3. One was strongly opposed to giving the death penalty to a "mentally ill" person but another 2 jurors also voted in favor to spare his life.

Since these individuals who served as jurors didn't understand the difference between justice and vengeance, and didn't find the level of atrocity of this crime to be worthy of the punishment of the death penalty, they should be each held personally responsible for the financial support of sustaining this murderous monster in prison until he dies.

The guy is guilty 100% he’ll have to deal with the jury of prisoners

As long as this monster gets actual life and not released early. Besides, once the other prisoners find out he murdered little children, his life in prison may be very short.

It just took one juror. Just one to derail this whole thing. And we know this now since the foreman confirmed that.

This will go down as a text book example of jury nullification against the death penalty..

No death penalty, 17 lives taken=1 life "saved"? Bs 😡😤🤬

To be honest, I think if someone truly has murder in their heart and on their mind, no verdict of life or death would change that person's mind. If someone is truly wanting to be a mass murderer this verdict won't change anything.

Just because of one stupid juror, these families don’t have justice served! How

You can see how worn out the parents are. This is very sad. This doesn't teach these hodalums anything. They will keep hurting these innocent school kids cause they just don't care.

Juries don't have to follow the law as laid down by the judge: it's up to them whether they do so. This has been a fact of common law since the trial of William Penn in 1670 and was exercised in one of the trials of John Lilburne, whose writings inspired the US Constitution and Bill of Rights. Judges equally have the power to dismiss jurors who show that they are aware of their rights. This right of juries is "jury nullification" or "jury equity."
