Thank you for sharing - traditionally bacalhau à Brás is a Lisbon dish. I couldn't help noticing that they forgot to add the vinegar to the onion + garlic + laurel leaf stew (cebolada) before adding the cod, which makes a whole difference to the taste. Still it looks delicious 👍

Pete, I love the concept of your show, but this recipe was nauseating to an American palette. Just as Chinese people are disgusted by sharp cheese, Americans simply grow up with an aversion to fishy taste. It's not in our culture. It is also very unusual for us to eat fish with eggs (we don't have fish products for breakfast). Salted cod is intensely fishy.

Thanks for sharing. I wish my family and I were open-minded enough to like this dish. 47 years of aversion to fishy taste is tough for me to de-program. Perhaps with another meat, this might be an interesting recipe... perhaps ham? That would make a bit of a French/Portuguese crossover dish.

Keep on cycling! Make your way over to Italy hopefully! You could find some amazing recipes there, far from the standard pasta and tomato sauce. Beans, polenta, wild boar, etc. Get to Italia!
