Posting this same comment on other videos because I felt the need to share just in case anyone else has been having the same problem:

My phone was having the same issues (black screen) and I could hear calls and messages but the screen would not turn on. Thought it was weird because I had been charging my phone while in my car. Suddenly the screen went black and no matter how many times I tried restarting my phone the screen remained black/dark. I tried restarting and connecting my phone to my macbook but no luck. Months ago I replaced my screen because I cracked it and luckily my husband had the bright idea of installing the old screen and voilà, we were able to see the screen! (woo hoo). My advice is to take the phone apart, as though you are going to replace the screen because it could in fact be a glitch within the blacklight/screen. Hope this works for anyone else having this problem :)

Hi, my iPhone dropped from a 5.6 ft height approximately. The screen started to glitch with a green line and messy screen for a few seconds; furthermore, turned black. I tried all methods. It does connect to itunes after minutes plugged in laptoop. I don't want to reset it nor update it. What is your recommendation? should I take it to a hardware professional to check if screen connecters got dislodged.

I was using my phone and it was fully charged, all of a sudden it just shut off. I dont know if it overheated or what, but my phone was perfectly fine. I tried holing the volume down button and power button, but it did not work. I downloaded the app and it said my device cannot be found. I followed the steps for DFN and that also did not work. I also cant get into recovery mode after i followed the steps for that. I have my phone on charge, however no battery sign pops up to tell me if its charging or out of charge. Im worried i just want my phone back, i was planning to get a new phone, but now i cant even backup my data, since i need to verify my account on itunes to sign in, it requires me to get a code from a message on my phone. I dont kow what happened, i have the worst luck ever

i tried it on iphone 7+ but the logo didnt appear and it still vibrates. I don't know why did this happen, I was just using my phone, scrolling on facebook and it suddenly turned black. And when I charged it, it charge but still black screen. When i try this technique(power on/off and volume down) i think it kinda turned on, i mean not the logo appear, i feel like its just turned on but its black but not black as it turned off but kinda lighten up a little bit. Hope you understand what i mean. What should i do?hope you will answer
