In this episode of The Muscle Memoirs Podcast, I am joined by Dr. Roy Taylor to discuss his research on type 2 diabetes remission, including the etiology of the disease, the personal fat threshold, and very-low-calorie diets.

Dr. Taylor is a professor of Medicine and Metabolism at Newcastle University and Honorary Consultant Physician at Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. He was visiting professor of medicine at Yale University (1990-91) where he acquired new MRI methods to look into the human body. On returning to the UK, he established the Newcastle MR Centre. He also developed the UK system for screening of diabetic eye disease and is the author of over 300 scientific papers.

I listened to Professor Taylor and my HbA1C went from 55 to 37 in 100 days. I now eat low carb and 1000 cals a day max. I feel great.

Thank you so much for hosting Dr Roy Taylor.
He is doing a great research covering various aspects of diabetes type II and it's remission, reversal with out medicines.
I have stopped all my allopathic medicines for my diabetes type II and have achieved HbA1c 5.5 after three months of stopping the medicines, just with dietary changes a little bit of exercise.
I hundred percent agree with Doctor Roy Taylor Sir...❤🎉❤🎉

Damn good video. I bought Dr Taylor's book when I was in the UK two years ago. Got my Type 2 diabetes under control. I love the way he explains scientific/medical concepts in an easy to understand manner.

I'm surprised there is so little advice on healthy eating with lots of fiber and more focus on these shakes. By bulking up with low calorie density foods you can still eat reasonably large amounts of food and lose weight. That to me at least sounds more sustainable long term to keep the weight off.
