Classic Falafels

My Two flatbread recipes that goes great with these falafels are here:

Lebanese Flatbread Super Soft (Dairy -Free)

Quick Yogurt GF flatbread (Gluten,Dairy and Oil Free):

Classic Falafels

1 cup of dried chickpeas(soaked overnight)
or 1 15-16 oz can of chickpeas
3-4 tbsp. fresh parsley
3-4 tbsp. fresh cilantro
1/2 cup chopped onion or 1 small onion
2-3 cloves of garlic
1 tsp ground cumin
1/2-1 tsp ground coriander
1 tsp chili pepper paste (or add alittle cayenne pepper)
pinch or two of sea salt
1/2 tsp baking powder
4-6 tbsp. flour
(Optional) Breadcrumbs for rolling (use gluten free if you have it)

Process everything in a food processor, then add flour, form balls, (optional roll in breadcrumbs).

Cooking
Flatten the balls of falafels a bit and bake at 375F for 20-30 minutes flipping midway on a greased baking sheet or parchment paper for oil-free these will be lighter in color). If you are not oil free then fry them or brush with oil and bake. If you fry them test one ball to make sure it holds together if not add more flour).

man, I miss israel now. When the stores would hand out falafels as you walk by trying to get you to eat there. Subscribed and now I need to try this recipe out. Thanks.
