Supreme Court Rules Second Amendment Guarantees Right To Carry Guns In Public

The Supreme Court has overturned a New York State law that required gun owners to show a special need for a concealed gun and has ruled that the Second Amendment guarantees the right to carry guns in public. NBC News’ Pete Williams reports.

The 2nd Amendment has never given us a right. It acknowledges our inalienable right to defend ourselves and limits the government from taking this right away.

No one needs a permit, if you get fined and or imprisoned take it to court and have a lawyer well versed in constitutional law defend you, win your case and then sue your opponents for everything they are worth plus your defense fees.

You don't need to get permission from the government or demonstrate a "special need" to exercise your freedom of religion or freedom of speech or freedom of the press or freedom of association or freedom to petition the government for redress of grievances or the right to remain silent or ANY other right guaranteed in the Bill Of Rights. Why should the right to keep and bear arms be any different? What part of "shall not be infringed" does Gov. Hochul not understand?

And it is not how the Second Amendment works when it comes to public carry for self-defense.”

Government has a long and consistent record of deciding that citizens don’t need freedom of speech, a viable self-defense, or personal privacy. It’s a remarkable pattern.

Now, criminals will have to weigh the risk before mugging, raping, robbing, carjacking, etc.
It stands to reason that violent crime rates should drop precipitously.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) reports that firearms are 80 times more likely to be used in defense of life than by a criminal to take it.
The FBI reports that during a mass shooting the average number of deaths when the shooter is confronted by police is 14.3. When confronted by an armed citizen the average number of people killed is 2.3.
