Mr. Viotti might have been slightly inspired the Buick Super Estate wagon. I recall Picasso, British royalty and many other wealthy europeans purchased Buicks after the war. The technical sophistication of the Lancia probably would have proved financially and mechanically troublesome in the American market. Nice video.

Thanks for sharing. A lovely example !! My first car was a Lancia Beta 2000 Berlina 1977, which I got in 1980. The model accused for killing off Lancia - how ever, one of the best car I ever had. 120 hp, quite quick for it's time, and very responsive. Unfortunately I went off the road and landed on the roof after a year. Young and dumb :) Greetings from Norway !!

Throughly enjoyed this video. I had a dear friend several years ago born and reared in Italy who told me what a fantastico car Lancia was to them. I’m sad to say that we in America never got the best of them! I was familiar mostly with the 1970s models that while very pretty cars; they weren’t known for quality.

I have always loved and admired Lancia's. I have driven several different models and all were for their time mechanically and cosmetically wonderful. I have never seen this particular variant . Beautiful. Thank you Don for posting this and your informative and entertaining dialogue.
