Ushiro Geri is a rear kick or back kick used in most Oriental Karate styles. Explained here as a 3 point move where on the first count the knee is drawn up with toes pulled back. The second part of the motion is the leg travels out to the rear kicking with the heel, making sure to keep the kicking leg close to the standing leg which should be bent slightly. Part three is a basic return of the leg back to a knee up position and then placed back down on the floor. Demonstrated here by Blind Shodan Sensei Mark Brown from the Mill Hill Dojo.
