This is the best explanation of how to execute Ushiro Geri, I have seen so far. Thank you a lot and keep up the great work!

I can see in your techniques that you know what you're doing. And your teaching style is great.
If I could have found more teachers like you when I was younger I know that I would have gotten a lot further.
Thank you for sharing, it is very much appreciated.

No, no, no, NEVER kick and then step back, ALWAYS continue through the target on a straight line and step forward ready to throw combinations!!! Full power through the target on a straight line. Otherwise most of what you show is correct, keep your knee high and your foot tucked tight as you turn so you cannot get jammed by your opponent, he will only run into the kick …. I’ve kicked opponents out of the ring with this in tournament!!! NO< NO do not step your front foot over, that is a telegraph, just rotate and point your heel, that is your sight as you momentarily loose eye contact but the line from your heel keeps you aligned on target…. No disrespect intended, I’m an 8th Dan and love this kick. And get your final foot position better, like a side kick with bottom of heel extended, the rest of your foot tucked back.

Sir, your explanation of the roundhouse and back kick was spot on. I teach Chang Mu Kwans traditional back kick loading my knee high into my mid section, but I see the benefit of not lifting so high, instead bending the knee back. I find that it doesn't hinder the power of the kick and improves the quickness of the technique. Thank you for the valuable tip sir.

Great video ! The lining of the front foot is the technique that I’m looking for. Thank you. Please do one that covers the front kick, side thrust kick and back kick in one movement as well.

Very instructing video! If I had to rank kicks in MAs, I would deem leg sweeps first, mae geri second and ushiro geri third. Whatever is your MA, combat sport, self defense system etc…these techniques are nearly an asset. Congrats on your vid! 👍

Thailand kicks are powerful but these Japanese kicks look so powerful as well! One of these kicks in my torso and my intestines will burst!! WOW! SUBSCRIBED!!!👍👍👍

Wow, powerful ushiro Geri is my best for me. Then a good kicker is always a good kicker.

Awesome lesson! I will definitely practice these pointers. I struggle a lot with front kicks (going upwards instead of into the opponent) I wonder if you could make a video on this topic.
