these are tame by comparison of what my family send each other, i once got a card from my grandmother that read "happy birthday (im glad they kept you anyway)" i was 9 i spent two months convinced i was adopted and they refused to tell me.

i eventually got her back in her 70's when i found a card that read "its amazing youve seen another year" and on the inside "because ive been trying to get that inheritance all year" with a small cartoon of a man pushing an old woman in a wheel chair down a set of stairs.
