The scapula is a flat triangular shaped bone that essentially floats on the upper back, it is classified as a false joint as it is held in place by soft tissue.

There are 3 main muscles that move and control the scapula through its varied range of motion, the trapezius muscle, the rhomboid muscle and the serratus anterior muscle.

Weakness in the serratus anterior muscle is the most common cause of scapula dyskinesis or scapula winging.

The purpose of the video is to teach you how to fix scapula winging, to create strength, stability and proper movement control through all ranges of motion that the scapula is supposed to move through.

My go-to, simple, highly effective top 3 serratus anterior movements are the apple picker, a band assisted exercise, the scapula push up, all you need for this one is a floor and wall slide, where a wall is all you need to get to work in fixing your winging scapula.

Yay!! Thank you, Chiro Carl for making this one! We look at cell phones and computers all day so the winging can get very bad. This is great! I really like the piriformis video too. Helped a lot with my left hip.
