I know celebrities hate this...but he will always be Niles to me. I love DHP, he has brought me many years of laughter, even to this day. I watch Frasier every night before bed, and still can't get enough. Thank you DHP. Btw, I'm in my 30's; Frasier was before my time but one day I lost the remote and couldn't change the channel, I got stuck watching Frasier...that was one of the best days of my life!!!

Glad that he's in a happy, solid relationship. I love him in the role of Niles. While I really like Frasier, I wish the spin would have been centered on Niles instead because I think he was the real star of the show.

I implore you, if you share my love of David Hyde Pierce, to watch a 20 min animated show called "The Amazing Screw-On Head". In it he gives a hilarious portrayal as the story's villain. The artwork is by acclaimed artist Mike Mignola who you might know as the creator of Hellboy (which also featured a voice performance by David Hyde Pierce)

Okay! How did I know that he’s gay just by watching Frasier and without ever googling him!!! He wasn’t playing a gay character on the show!! Every time he showed feelings for Daphne I couldn’t just buy it!! This is the first time I google him!!!
I think he should play old Sheldon Cooper if they ever gonna do old Sheldon show. I feel he and Jim Parsons have the same aura! Both brilliant actors

PBS did a segment, you can look up some of the mistranslations about the issue I just stated.... so basically, you all are condemning someone which is a sin, not his life! What's next, throwing stones? as Daphne might say :) I don't mean that, but really people... a bad person can't act that good and create an endearing character!

To all the negative comments, regardless what the Bible said- and I've also heard Catholic priests mention we do need to consider modern science when things are discovered- I had Thanksgiving with a very smart, female, doctor years ago and she said basically it's not so much a choice but gay men get a different set of chromosomes.
Also in nature there are a lot "same sex" how can it be against nature if someone is just following their heart basically here... Sometimes I even wonder if some women choose to date other women- if even platonically- as so many straight men can be so awful - or also Vivian Vance and I've heard it's not that uncommon- was/are married to gay men as they are pretty delightful.
There's that Robin William's joke about how God just didn't go click and the world was created- speaking of some fundamentalist theory... I personally would never sacrifice an animal or smear lambs blood on my door at Easter- and I don't think that's the point- and an ancient ritual at that. I don't know what to say to the haters, but clearly these two guys are a far better example of love and commitment than a lot of straight marriages. Maybe in Biblical times there weren't many examples such as these two. Also, maybe that quote is a comment below isn't in the original translations- some things have been changed to control people over the years. In ancient times there were women priests for example. and some of it was in metaphors. anyway, it's also possible humans have evolved over the years too- maybe we need an revised edition/or someone to retranslate it in reflection of some of the much better examples of relationships as some same sex marriages that clearly involve long term committment here! plus, I don't think you can love Niles without loving the person behind it. He has so much integrity you can tell- please stop trashing him/s personal life! Honestly, if I were the most devout Catholic priest, I'd have to reexamine my faith based on David.
