Yesss! Iron sharpens iron. Thank you for this. It's true "we only talk to people when they talk to us". This is still a challenge for me.
For now, so grateful to have Christian friends, although we don't really meet that often ever since after college since we live in different provinces. Thankful to have internet for this matter. Still need to have godly friends in our proximity here, gotta work on that friendliness factor hehe.

i didn't realize how much i needed to pray about just 'being friendly' not being so self centered-- waiting for people to come to me first. i pray we can have this warm, welcoming spirit, where others can be touched by & feel Jesus through us 🙏🏽

I have a friend group in school, though I mostly feel alone, since no one really wants to hang around with me. It’s exhausting always being around people that aren’t living in Christ, because they don’t see life how I do or live how I do. This is the reason I think it’s difficult having a friendship with people that don’t live for God, but for their lusts. I’m not saying I’m holy or perfect, but when I surround myself with those people constantly, I will gradually draw away from God without even noticing, and I don’t want that to happen. I‘d rather have no friends and be with our Lord than be with friends that live worldly and use Gods name in vain persistently. It has caused me many times to draw away from my purpose of life and living for Gods will, because I absorbed the way they act, talk, live life. As a Christian it’s so hard to preach the Gospel to non believers. They will say we are forcing our religion on them, when we are not. It’s opening a door for them, but at the end they are the ones to decide if they will shut the door or walk thru the door. I’m just praying that I will be blessed with a spiritual companion that is also strong in faith as I am.

I hope I find christian friends. I'm usually putting in the most work. They will say I'm a great friend but they don't put in a lot of work so it doesn't last and I don't understand it... This has been just about my whole life. I be there for people and hardly get anything in return. So I be alone a lot. I need prayer and I need godly people around me! 🙏🏽

I just became Christian and it’s been really hard lately. I’ve been hurting so much knowing that I’ve lost a lot of relationships with family/friends. I’ve been just trying to push through the day through prayer and resting in Gods word. I pray that God helps me build a supportive cast of Christian friends in my life. If there’s anybody that would like to get to know me more, I would love to get to know you all. Hi Angela, I’m so happy I found your channel. I’ve been struggling with some of my friendships recently. I have 2 friends at church who I thought were super close to me but ever since quarantine, it seems like they’ve been really distant and I’ve overestimated now close we were. I’ve constantly reached out and tried to make conversation with them and ask them how they’re doing but they always leave me on read / don’t reply. I also invite them to our online youth group but they also don’t ever reply or go. It’s been really discouraging because I thought we were close friends but they don’t seem to want to put in the effort. I legitimately asked “hey are we good? I’m sorry if I ever did anything to offend you or hurt your feelings” and one of them just said that she’s busy but she’s constantly posting on her stories that she’s hanging out with her other friends. Ive just been feeling really lied to and sad because my supposed best friends can’t even text me back. How do you think I should deal with this? I’ve been praying about it but these friends still seem to be so distant. Thank you Angela. God bless you ❤️
