How to Fix Discord Stuck Updating Fail Loop Error

Discord has potential to run into an updating error which causes the update stage to constantly loop and fail. To fix the Discord loop fail error you need to change the name of the default update file. You can find the update file in the Discord folder found in the local app data.

The easiest way to find the Discord folder location is to open the Run application and search for %localappdata%. When entered this command will launch the default folder where Discord will be saved to.

Does not work. All startups for discord point at Update.exe and automatically redirect to Update1.exe with no behavior change.

It doesn't work. I have tried to uninstall and rename it, but it didn't work. So i need to use it in my browser. :(

This didnt fix it but i disabled my firewall and it worked :) just incase anyone else has the same issue

Doesn't work I have tried legit EVERYTHING uninstalling reinstalling deleting EVERY file that goes with discord renaming it restarting my computer nothing works at all and I always get this error. This isnt the first time I have had this issue this is the third time getting it in a span of 1 year and it usually goes away after a week but I dont have time to wait for a week
