I need to work on TV time, saying yes, eviction, and toy time! I agree with you all the way! Thanks lady!

Great video! I also wash my kids and the nanny has her own room, I have so much anxiety over molestation, it's a sick world we live in. Home schooling is next!

Good pointers on the "timed sharing" and saying yes more than no....

Suzy, this is not controversial but a wealth of knowledge. You are teaching us very important and deep tips with a lot of passion and love. For example, taking children to upcountry when they close schools is to expose them to danger of very many things. E.g. idle cousins, uncle's, and neighbors etc. Thank you so much 🙏.

Suzy, I just want to say that I love your videos!! I am a young mom, and I love being a mom. It’s so nice to meet another Kenyan who also does homeschooling. I’ve always known that I want to homeschool but I’ve met very few Africans who do the same. I love your videos on home making. You inspire me as a wife and mother. Thank you for making these videos, they really help me feel less alone in my journey as a mom, wife, and home maker. I am not in Kenya but when I come I would love to have a cup of tea with you!

First, you are too funny!! I've laughed and laughed thru the video. The Grounding explanation made so much sense, its the moment they need reassurance, so I've learnt. Thank you. On many others we are together. Nanny/babies sharing a room is a No. The oven timer hack though🤣🤣🤣 good one!
Thank you Suzy!!

Ok. So I stumbled on your channel and I'm hooked. On you 14th point, I completely concur. We have on child now, when he was a newborn, we had a crib for him next to our bed. But one night he had a bout of reflux and nearly chocked. The reflux persisted for a while so we agreed to have him sleep in our bed to reduce our response time when it happens. By about 5 months, it had tapered off so he was back in his crib. He roomed in with us till 18 months then we shipped him out to a big bed in another room. So, our new mantra is the crib stays in our room to house newborns up until about 1 year, upon which they shall graduate to a big bed in another room. I guess that's the parenting rule I will carry the heat on with you.... NO CHILDREN IN THE MASTER BED/ROOM. Thanks for your content and openness, its helping us nip a lot in the bud the things we don't like and implement the good stuff we are learning!

I completely agree with you on your parenting rules! And practice most if not all of them though my kids are still toddlers so still learning on the job.

I'm sure the househelp also feels glad to have a break and some privacy by not having to sleep in the same room as the children.

We sleep in the same bed with baby until past a year, I breastfeed basically through out the night. I have done this with all 4 of ours and still now with our 4th who is 1 year 4months.
When it comes to transitioning to their own beds and room, the struggle is very real. Even prayers have not helped. But Co sleeping while breastfeeding works for me to get a good night sleep.
