Forerunner Review with Exotic Catalyst (aka Halo Magnum) | Destiny 2 30th Anniversary

It was speculated that the Halo Magnum would be coming to Destiny 2. Turns out, they were right. The Forerunner is the Halo Magnum. Today we will be reviewing Forerunner with it's Exotic Catalyst and going over the weapons potential inside of PVP and PVE.

I love the idea of Kinetic, class agnostic abilities, even if they're granted via exotics etc. Feels almost like dipping into a Kinetic subclass.

Funny thing about the Forerunner is that the quest-lore around it makes it sound like we're getting the actual Magnum itself, but the Forerunner's own lore-tab actually says it's a reconstruction of the original relic that Banshee made using a modified Breechlight frame, so... technically this means we also got Breechlight back, just in a really roundabout way.

I've been running the "Halo" loadout and it works(obviously). The "BR" and "Magnum" is such a nice homage/callback. Plus, I ran the Half-Truths(blue) and The Other Half(purple) for the sword. Everything looks right and works well together. Now I just need to make my Titan look like MC

Recommendation: use the BR to shred the sheilds off peeps and then swap to the magnum for the instant kill if your struggling

A really cool detail for this weapon is if you're going against it is instead of that red glare someone will have if they were sniping you, it will be a *green* glare instead. Really awesome :)

I love how most sidearms hit with the force of biting a chip vertically but the foe runner hits with the force of a minivan

I thought the gun was quite fair. Its a different version of Eriana's vow. Good snipers can still take out your head and shotguns are still shotguns.

If you are getting farmed by forerunner in pvp, i greatly recommend not running special weapon.

It's perfectly possible to starve this weapon, if you're not confident in outdueling or teamshooting em down, then at least don't make it worse for your team

Just got it last night and have not used it yet! Looking forward to giving it a twirl. However i have went up against some good players using it in pvp and it packs a punch when your hit by it.

When i see that light shining at me from that weapon I know what time it is!
