Subnautica Below Zero is different than Subnautica, so should YOU buy it? In this video I'll explain what the differences are and what type of player would enjoy the second part in the Subnautica franchise, and what players should probably stay away.

About Subnautica Below Zero:
Below Zero is the follow up game to Subnautica and is set a year after the events of the original game. This time the main Character, Robin Godall is searching for her sister who was declared dead after working for Alterra on Planet4546b.
Below Zero features new enemies, leviathans like the Shadow Leviathan or Chelicerate, vehicles like the Sea Truck, buildables like large rooms and jukeboxes and much more! More parts of the game are now set on the icy landscape of the pole of Planet4546b, but not even here are you safe from the massive Ice Worms and freezing temperatures.
Later in the story, an Architect called Al-An will be introduced and will require the players help to survive and carry on the Precursor's legacy.
Some new creatures are: The Snowstalker, the Glow Whale, the Chelicerate, Ice Worms, Alien Penguins, Rockpunchers, the Shadow Leviathan and more.
Will you help Al-An construct a body learn of the fate of his people?

I disagree on the "feeling alone" part. The constant presence of a particular friendly npc does away with that pretty effectively. And all in all, I'd say this game is way less scary than the first one and way more friendly to the newcomers, which seems to be by design. There are fewer aggressive monsters that can one shot you. The points of interest at high depths often have those handy-dandy air balloon plants, and there are even maps of the area available.

The devs wanted to tell a different kind of story, and that's ok.

I think it would be interesting if Unknown Worlds made a Subnautica game focused on deep sea aspects.
I think it would be cool to play as a deep sea marine biologist from Alterra
You could have it start deeper with equipment such as a sea truck or something.
It would be really interesting and cool if you could explore the very depths of 4546b.

I have completed both games, and I liked the original more, one of the things which i like are a lot of different creatures, that there are so much variants all over the map. I also really like that in subnautica there are so many beautiful places and creatures. In Below Zero there are some too but what's missing is the sun and the atmosphere of warmth for me. Another part in the original, which i really enjoy is the exploration. In Subnautica there are a lot of different biomes, which are all pretty big. Even after 200 hours i still find places on the map where i have never been. In below Zero there are less biomes i think and most of the biomes are smaller. Of course in Below Zero a big part is the exploration on the ice, but it's mostly tundra. I really love the story of the original but the story of Below Zero is better in my opinion. As a survival-exploration game subnautica is better in my opinion but as a story-survival game below zero is better. I hope I could help anyone :)

Here's hoping they'll add a dlc or patch that you can visit the crater map after finishing it.

Fun challenge for those of you who don’t have below zero yet but plan on getting it: don’t use any outside sources to help you (no wiki, map, etc).

Haven't played Below Zero, I'm going to wait a few weeks/months until they fix some of the bugs. But from what I read, Below Zero it's not bad, it's just the first game is too good. And both of them have a different feel, which, again, it's not a bad thing.
