Today I am working on a very foggy and gloomy day. We are removing a tall fir tree that has grown within just one foot of the customers house!

I hired a local tree crew last spring, the owner was my age late 50’s and his 2 man crew was 1 og early 60’s and a younger early 30’s. The OG smoked a cig before starting and both 2 man were climbing my 12 firs that average 120’ tall. Cleaning up half broken branches and dead limbs. The 60’s dude climbed 7 trees and was proud he out worked the younger guy. I was stunned at his speed and attention to detail. I’m glad I paid them the money and it took me several weekends to process the limbs. I just had them do the trimming. I took care of all cleanup. Well worth the money spent. You boys earn your pay for that really high work. I’m amazed at the strength of the 4” diameter top with you standing on it. I know you are close in so that you aren’t trying to make it sway. I don’t mind heights as long as I”m confident of what I’m standing on. That very top would have me freaking out. Larger Titanium nuts you carry up with you. 😂

Man really love the transparency. The way I see it and tell my customers it’s specialized work for a specialized price.

To whomever is editing these videos: thank you for leaving in a good bit of leaf blowing the roof off. So satisfying to watch!

Jake, I am a lurker. I find something that interests me and observe. I am a retired US Navy Viet Nam Vet, and 74 years old. For fifteen years I was the Crew Chief for a Navy Anti-Submarine Aircrew. Every trait I have watched from Crews and Companies World-Wide. You are the best at establishing a valid Crew and making everyone feel included! That is a rare skill, and i recognize it, because I did it too. It is hard to develop a Crew that can work with ANYONE, but you do and when you visit other Crews or they come to work with you, they can already feel like part of a cohesive team. Not everyone gets to experience it, savor the feeling! Bravo to to your crew, and you as well! ❤❤

You are trying to price right within industry standard. Which is very admirable of you. Thanks for sharing all that you do. It's sincerely appreciated. Be safe brother.

Nice work, Jacob. I appreciate your honesty about pricing. I spent 34 years bidding landscaping and commercial construction jobs. A wise man once told me, “Bid the job, not your competition.” This advice has served me well.

As a recovering addict, I appreciate you taking the time in this video to address it... and a bit on how to overcome it... it can be done, theres many people who are proof of that....especially in the tree industry... keep up the great work, !!!!

Jacob, as a guy who was also struggling with alcohol problems, and is currently 3, 5 months sober, I honestly like to hear you talking about it. It gives a different perspective, and people learn from other people. Its like buckin billy ray’s video on alcohol. Make one video, and help a shit tone of people. I guarantee you 100% if you make a video on your substance “problems” in the past, you will help people. You might not like this, but people look up to you. Me included. If you find someone who you idolise, has had the same problems as you, it genuinely makes life a bit easier, realising its not just you. In some cases it gets rid if of the feeling of being a failure, knowing there are other suffering too. God bless buddy🙏💝

Preaching about drugs, alcohal and addiction NEVER gets old! I am also a retired teacher and I got on the anti-drug soap box many many times.

Really dig the zip line. Appears to save a lot of time. Working in the "clouds" has it's own appeal.

At least there’s not an asphalt driveway below Kevin

I'm glad that you bring up prices. As a home owner we dont have a clue how much tree work costs. It's definately a sticker shock. Good to know. Be safe out there!

I really appreciate that you are so open and transparent about pricing, estimates, dump fees, and so forth. It's super helpful as some of us navigate the learning curve of doing estimates. Really appreciate the good content you produce! Keep up the good work and stay safe!

Preach all you want Jacob. Perhaps, someone will be blessed by your message, take it to heart, and change their ways. God bless you and your crew. <3

Jake, I've seen many, many from doctors to lawyers to judges to tree company owners addicted to one thing or another. Once they get to that point toward they need it every day. It doesn't matter at that point, that's what they need a lot of them. Are scared to get clean that worried about being sick. Yes, there is medication out there can help some people do want the help a lot of them don't and they lose everything and it's so sad. I was one of those people. I was addicted to pain killers bad. I did get clean and I've been clean now for 17 years by the grace of God. It was a rough road but like I said, it's been 17 years. I've been sober and it's amazing. It was probably one of the hardest things I ever did was to get clean but it's well Worth it God bless everybody.
